Will TTS Desktop Support move my computer?


If a user is moving to a different space, TTS (Local) Desktop Support will assist with disconnecting and reconnecting the computers, monitors, printers and other peripherals, while Tufts Facilities will assist with the actual move of any equipment.

TTS Desktop Support does not move computer or any other equipment for office space, lab, etc.

  1. Before the move, User will submit a ticket requesting assistance from Desktop Support to come unplug all computer related equipment to be ready for transport
  2. To move equipment(s) contact Tufts Facilities at: Facilities Service Requests | Access Tufts 
  3. Once the move is complete and the computer equipment is in the final location, Desktop Support will come back to re-connecting the equipment.

The ticket should include:

We request a minimum of five business days notice (for large moves, such as an entire lab or departments) to adequately staff the move.
