You are required to carry your official photo ID card while on University premises. It is required for admission to many university functions, buildings, residence halls, library privileges, etc.

  • If you're a new hire and haven't yet received your ID card, make sure that you have finished filling out your paperwork and I-9 at least 48 hours ago to give HR time to verify their I-9 and feed into the Tufts system.
• For card/badge access issues or to request access (swiping your ID card) to certain buildings or labs, AccessTufts' Card Access & Key Requests page has details. Email accessreq@tufts.edu for badge access.
• If you are locked out of your room, contact the appropriate Public Safety department on your campus, listed on AccessTufts' Keys & Lockouts.
